The Ideas Book
Handmade in the UK
The Ideas Book... Always in my bag
Our approach to leatherwork is an exercise in restraint and precision. We don't just make handbags and cuffs; we engineer wearable art designed to age with character. Every piece is designed and handmade in our UK studio, utilizing the finest hides and a unique methodology of pattern construction.
The process begins with the hide. We source only high-substance, full-grain leathers that possess enough structure to hold a silhouette but enough soul to develop a unique patina over time.
The "Hand" of the Leather: We look for specific tensile strength required for our structured handbags versus the supple flexibility needed for our cuff bracelets.
Unlike traditional mass-production, our patterns are developed through a "sculptural" lens.
Geometric Foundations: We start with core shapes, stripping away unnecessary seams to create a minimalist, architectural profile.
Calculated Proportions: Every handbag curve and cuff circumference is calculated to ensure ergonomic comfort without sacrificing the "Attitude Paste" aesthetic.
Cut pieces ready to be put together
Precision Cutting: Each pattern piece is hand-cut from the prime sections of the hide, avoiding any natural imperfections that might compromise the structural integrity.
Artisanal Finishing: Edges are meticulously burnished and finished to a glass-like smoothness, a hallmark of truly high-quality leathercraft.
